Hi guys,

I have MKS as my version control system...
Suppose I have 2 checkpoints at different intervals of time (obviosuly , ;-)) .. and I want to find out the details of the files that are checked in between these 2 checkpoints...
Is there a way that these 2 checkpoints can be compared through MKS Source Integrity itself..? If so, how..?

If not, please tell me what should be done to get the diff's..?
The problem boils down to comparing 2 checkpoints...

Any valuable information will prove very important to me ....

Regards,
Moto.

Why are you yelling? Please change your topic title so that you are not yelling. and remove the "urgent help needed" part

Putting it in all caps, and using the "Urgent" word tends to be the last one that people want to answer.

But ignoring that fact, and not knowing anything about MKS.

Doesn't you MKS have a way to see histor?. Every other version control program I have seen has history and you can compare previous versions within itself.

Hi all ,

Mark.. U r partially right that Im new to MKS, but am working lately on Serena Changeman and am aware of teh reveision history feature avaialbe with any decent VCSystem.

Let me put the problem statement clearly..

I dont want to see what changes have been done to a particular file ....
What I want Mark , is that ,
Between 2 given timestamps(ie. between 2 checkpoints, since they actully contain absoulte frozen code at both the points), I want to see what are the files that have changed..

Now I cant go to each file in my project and see its history and see if its changes within these 2 times.. right..?

So... I need to find a way to identify the differences bwtween the status (in the sense.. how many & what files were checked-in/out, what files were not touched in between etc...) for each of these files within 2 checkpoints....
U seem to be very well aware of MKS..
So put in ur ideas..
And hey, I cannot edit the message heading now..!! Im just a ranchhand!!

Thanks,
Moto.

Hi, If you have MKS source integrity, goto Project - > View Project Changes, you will get an option to view the differences between checkpoints.

Please don't wake the zombies. The thread you are replying to is almost 3 years old. It's unlikely that the original poster is still waiting for an answer.
