I am using Eclipse 3.1. I have a CVS project. I could "refresh" and "build project". But the problem, the java file, in Navigator, which has error or bug will NOT shown with a red-arrow. I have to double-click , open that file and then the red-arrow show up.

But the problem is , I don't know which file has error, how could I know to open which file ?

Thanks

Edward,
I'm not sure what you mean by a CVS project. A project in CVS?

In any case, you can't see error messages in the navigator view. Switch to package explorer and the red icon is shown on the project, package and file level. Alternatively, you can look at the tasks/problems list and double click on one to go straight to the error.
