We are seeking a software engineer to contribute to the design of Dolby professional software products using a variety of platforms and Java technologies. In this role you will develop enhancements to current systems and products. You will plan, design, and develop new software applications for the next generation of Dolby professional products for film, broadcast, and digital cinema. You will use and learn leading-edge software technologies including Enterprise Java Beans (EJB), relational databases (RDBMS), Java Management Extensions (JMX), and the Java Messaging Service (JMS), as well as other technologies.

Other responsibilities will include:
Maintaining software archives.
Contributing to the creation or adoption of new technologies.
Helping create software and hardware prototypes of new technology applications.

Requirements:
MS degree (or BS degree plus 2 to 4 years professional experience) in engineering or science.
Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas:

Java programming
Object-oriented design and development
Design patterns
UML
EJB
JMS
JMX
