Hello guys,

I downloaded Eclipse version 3.1.2, when I click on the exe file, it tells me that Eclipse requires a JRE 1.4 at least to run. My JRE is of version 1.3. How can I upgrade my JRE version as of inside the Control Panel?

I have JRE version 1.5 in my machine, how come the version did not change inside the Java Plugin? Please help me. It's baffling why some IDEs can detect the latest JRE is available on my pc while some others, like Eclipse, cannot.

I forgot that I have Oracle installed on my PC, crap.

uninstalling it solves the problem, coz Oracle actually forces the JRE to an earlier version.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
