You may need to import some plugin for the web development. I am using Lomboz.

The documents section on the above URL also lists some tutorials to get started.

Lomboz is the name of the plugin. Click here to visit it's home page.

There may be other plugins available as well, but I am using this one.

You can download eclipse-lomboz from the downloads section. It comes with eclipse, lomboz and other necessary plugins required to start with.

You can also visit this thread. This thread contains the problems I faced while starting up and I have posted the solution as well.

Hi,

Are you extracting using winzip or using the normal windows zip utility? Try using winzip...

I had faced a similar problem on windows xp ... win xp supports the zip files by itself, but sometimes that doesn't extract the files properly. So try using the winzip to extract and it should work.

Thanks,
Ankit

I have to use Eclipse 3.2 to write Servlets and JSP Files.

I write servlets and JSPs using Eclipse all the time, and I never use any plugins. Servlets are just java classes which you can write using the regular Java development tools, and JSPs are mainly HTML web pages with a few value substitutions.

Are there any particular problems in your environment which might make servlet and JSP development difficult?
