Hi, There is a java web application running, of which i have the class files but not the source code. The code is in servlets and jsp. Now in one of the forms, when the user enters something and clicks "Submit", nothing happens. The page that is shown to me is Internet Explorer can't find the page... Earlier things were working fine. I have access to the database, but that wouldn't help me in resolving the issue? Is there any way i can convert the class files to the source code and then debug the application? Please suggest whatever can be done about this. Thanks, Bitz
It seems unlikely that looking at the source will help with this problem, if earlier it was working fine and now there's a missing page. It sounds more like the server installation or configuration has been changed. What is the exact error message, and have you checked the server logs for error messages?
Hi, The problem is that there is no error message. Only the page is not avaialble is displayed. I have used a software called GEL that converts the class files to java code. But till i don't get the error, how is it possible to know where it is going wrong and also when i cannot debug it. Is there any way i can make changes in the web.xml file that will force the application to throw the error on the web page. Would restarting the server work?
