I just installed Xubuntu on my computer but I can't find any IDEs to install on this operating systems.
I was wondering if anyone knew any IDE that I can install on Xubuntu. I will be writing Java, Servlets and JSP applications. I tried downloading the "linux" version of netBeans 5.5 but that did not work.
It should have. But Eclipse works just fine in Ubuntu. I recommend you download the gtk JDK version. It's a ZIP file. Just unzip it, then run eclipse/eclipse to start the IDE.

Thanks a lot Tim.....I was finally able to install the netBeans 5.5. The whole problem is that I am so much used to Windows and find it a little bit challenging to use Xubuntu......However I was able to install it.....Thanks a lot.
