______________________________________________ Description: Database Architect to lead Lightbridge in the successful design and implementation of application databases. Design high performance database architecture. Improve service scalability through effective database designs. Must have a high-level understanding of relational database technology and concepts. Including performance orientated designs and data access encapsulation. Architect, build, code, and release database modules.
Proficient level experience with SQL coding and database construction scripts both from and in support of the consolidated data model. Build SQL query modules, stored procedures, triggers, views and complex reports.
Code, debug and ensure database programs work properly. Troubleshoot, test and minimize downtime through diagnostics. Perform consistency checks by writing data cleaning tools and other queries. Execute database application tuning and performance monitoring.
Ability to conduct data validation and to work with developers, end users, and infrastructure teams. An expert at gathering and documenting user requirements and functional specifications. Through understanding of enterprise architecture concepts and implementation. Full life cycle development experience is preferred.
Specialized Skills and Knowledge: Experience with interfacing application code with relational databases is a must. Through knowledge of RDBMS architecture including Oracle. Provide guidance in the creation and implementation of coding database modules. Have used CASE tools for data modeling and database design.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and organizational skills with proven attention to detail. Must thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Strong project and time management skills are a must.

Education/Number of Years Experience/Certifications: �Bachelor�s degree in software engineering or computer science. Masters Degree preferred �5 to 7+ years experience in developing database architecture �Oracle experience is a must. Unix experience a plus � Strong java programming/coding skills and java performance tuning of application. � JDBC
