Java GUI designing tool

Is there any java api or any other tool that can be used to design java gui like similar to Visual Basic. I am looking for some open source project tools. I greatly appreciate if anybody provides any likes or info.

Look at the Matisse GUI builder in Netbeans, it's probably the best free GUI builder available.

Eclipse has the Visual Editor, which is also not bad. WindowBuilder Pro is a commercial product that you can use to build GUIs with Eclipse.
