Congratulations are due to Jim Yingst, who has now submitted more than 2000 messages to the Java Ranch Big Moose Saloon. He joins Paul Wheaton, Ajith Kallambella and Frank Carver - the mighty "power users" of the Ranch. Well done Jim, it takes a lot to get this far, and I'm sure we all appreciate your efforts and the help you've given to so many people.
Jim .. WOW .. I'm soo impressed! And you joined just a few months before ME!! and I've only just passed 1000 ... hmmm now I have a challenge .. 1000 posts in three months!

Thanks, everyone. No memoirs currently planned. And I must thank Frank in particular, since it is the fact that he recently passed me in total postings that made me sit up and start being active again. But you're making it darned hard to catch up - are you after Ajith's position?

It's interesting (well, to me anyway ). A few months ago, I decided to get back into JavaRanch, rather than just coasting as I had been doing for half a year or so. When I looked at the totals I saw that I has the fewest posts of all the Sheriffs (somewhere around 750). Since I've been a "bit" more active, I'm now up to around 2300 - in third position after Paul and Ajith. I'm actually slightly gaining on Ajith, although he's sure to reach 3000 before me. The real "motor-fingers" is Cindy Glass, though, who posts more than anyone else most weeks. Javaranch, the new spectator sport!

Congratulations Jim and Welcome to the 2000 club. I still remember the good ol' days when you, Maha and Tony were such a treasure. I don't usually wander around in this forum, so I only saw this post today. I'm sure you and Frank can beat me...just wait till I get busy at work... Keep up the spirit!
