i want to configure hibernate in myeclipse.. i am following help instructions..i am using oracle (thin) driver.. and want to connect to the oracle 9i database... but the connection is not database name is oracle8... i am adding a jar file ojdbc14.jar.. i am using 30 days trial version of myeclipse6.0....but i am not using plugins for myeclipse......

Did you select the project, then go to the menu and select MyEclipse > Project Capabilities > Add Hibernate Capabilities?

THis kicks off Eclipse to treat your project as 'understanding hibernate'
