All,

I want to know which IDE is superior in terms Java Design and development support.

I looked at Netbeans-6 and downloaded the UML plug-in for it (free). It worked pretty good.

Want to know if any one tried eclipse offerings and if you have a comparison between these two products?

Thanks

Neither of them is superior to the other. NetBeans and Eclipse are the two most used Java IDEs, and they are both very good.

If you want to know which one suits you best, download them both and play with them, and find out for yourself which you like best.

Please BeNice.

Both Eclipse and NetBeans are very good IDEs and they are used by a lot of (professional) developers. One is not clearly superior to the other. So you will not get a really useful answer if you ask "which one is superior", because the answers will be based on the subjective personal experiences and preferences of the people who will answer you.

Nobody can tell you which one works best for you. You'll have to discover that yourself by trying both out.
