problem in netbeans6.1

Hi all!

I am getting a
Deployment error:
Access to Tomcat server has not been authorized. Set the correct username and password with the "manager" role in the Tomcat customizer in the Server Manager. [error]
while running a simple jsp program in netbeans6.1 IDE.
i am using windowsXp. pls help me.

Well, what can I say about the "No Reply stuff",

The thread is about a year ago. You should start a new thread instead. Anyway, to answer your question. Do you have something like this in your .netbeans/6.5/apache-tomcat-6.0.18_base/conf/tomcat-users.xml

NetBeans uses "ide" username to connect to Tomcat. Make sure you set the password correctly in your NetBeans to match with the one in the tomcat-users.xml.

so I also changed

"C:\Documents and Settings\RJ\.netbeans\6.0\tomcat60_1.properties"

I have exactly the same problem with netbeans 6.7 on macos
