Eclipse WTP is the default plug-in for web applications. You might already have it installed, depending on which Eclipse package you downloaded and installed. If you downloaded and installed "Eclipse for Java EE developers", you already have it. If not, then you can use the Eclipse Update Manager to download and install it (Help / Software Updates).

It depends on what you are doing. If using CVS, a CVS plugin is useful. If using Subversion, a Subversion plugin is useful. If using Tomcat, a Tomcat plugin is useful. You get the idea.
