Remote task jar errors

I am trying to use some of the remote tasks in ants 1.6, directly I am wanting to use SCP and SSHEXEC.. I want to copy over a few files and then run a command on those files off of the server..

I am getting a simple error of: Could not create task or type of type: scp.

after working with ant for a week, I have realized this means its not picking up the task from the jar file (jsch).. so I go and look in the lib and the jar file is there with all of the classes intact.. I have also tried redling the jar file.

So I am looking for some advice as what to do.. I would really love to be able to use these tasks.. Has anyone else ran into problems using ants remote tasks?
