As a greenhorn, I wasn't sure what the normal load times were around here were, and when I started timing out (even at work on a T1), I was afraid I'd have to give up on this wonderful site.
But we're back (I humbley include myself), and I can get back to the cattle drive and hangin' out in the forums.
Thanks,
rick

Hi Rick,
There were some problems connected with the server upgrade on Sunday; but we seem to be to 'normal' now

I have to admit I was worried, too!

Same here...I actually had to do W-O-R-K yesterday at the office! It seems we lost all the posts from the 8th and 9th also ... oh well, just glad everything is OK now!

Wait a minute, I'm trying to think of something clever to say...<p>Joel

I felt terrible when I couldn't log on to JavaRanch. Everyday when I get to work, I first log on to the Ranch ( even before checking my emails ). A hot cup of coffee and a few refreshing messages at the Ranch should always be together.
When I saw the blank forum pages, it was almost like somone cleaned up my savings account. Believe it or not, the Bartenders and Sheriffs exchanged over 30 emails in less than three hours trying to figure out what went wrong. I also sent out an email message to the users about the technical difficulties.
Apparently the hosting company had some server problems.
I'm so glad its back online. Phew!!

Hi, I don't post many messages, but when I couldn't get on to read the forum, I was also very shocked, thinking the University had got onto me and made the route block all javaranch (boohoo)
But, alas, Your back!

I was kinda thinking the same thing. Uh-oh work has found out how much time I've been spending at the ranch... Great to see it back up and running

Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh...........
I feel much better now... a Diet Coke and a quiet morning in the office at the Saloon before the daily madness begins.
Ciao everyone, have a great day!
