log-in as ROOT with ANT

I have ant script, that does several things and starts the Tomcat server on port 80 with a shell script. Now all other things require ANT, Java etc in path, so I need to run them as user XYZ which keeps them in path. However, the Unix shell script requires ROOT permissions to start the server on port 80 (earlier we were running it on port 8080, so everything was fine), so I was wondering if it's possible for me to log-in as ROOT (with password of course) with ANT script. How do I do this?
