Hi,

i am trying to precompile JSPs using <jspc> task. But the compiled jsps do not have *$jsp.java format (just has *.java). When i try to use my precompiled files in localhost/_ it still compiles the JSP pages.

Can you please tell me how i can compile the JSP in a particular directory structure to do exactly what JSPER does?

thanks
Manu

This is dependent on which application server you are using. In weblogic we just weblogic.appc and this do the job.

As David points out this is server dependant. Typically though if you are precompiling the jsps, you won't also deploiy the uncompiled JSPs - Tomcat (in JBoss) for example will always compile JSPs it finds, regardless of whether there is an already compiled alternative.

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
