I'm curious: If you had the size of the file, say, in a property - what would/could you do with it?

I will have it in property.. but when the file is in remote place and it is in some CVS, then I dont want to get all the files and check the size but I will run the ant task which will show me the size of the files

Have you checked out Aspose?
