How about this: in your file explorer right-click the file that you want to copy, in the drop down menu pick the option copy, now look for the folder into which you want to copy the file, open it, in the folder are right-click with your mouse, and choose the paste option.

Now, seriously. Let me see if I am getting this. You want to use ant to copy the file, but you do not want to invoke the ant command. At the same time, you do not want to use Java at all.

What do you mean by that?

Welcome to JavaRanch.

I'm not sure what you mean by "not using Ant directly". Have you read through the Copy chapter of the Ant manual? It explains the in detail how to copy files using Ant.

Hi,
I think to Copy a directory to another directory you can use.

<copy todir="../new/dir">
<fileset dir="src_dir"/>
</copy>
