Hi
Any help is appreciated.
The ant build is failing with this msg: Could not create task or type of type: if.
I am using this in the build.xml
<if name="ind" value="true">
<echo>Executing Damn Fisr</echo>
</if>

i have ant-junit.jar in the ant's build path. Also(hoping that the If taskdefs are present) i placed all the jars that come with the ant 1.6 distribution in the build path. But no use.
thanks in advance

if is provided in the ant-contrib library. So you need to have the ant-contrib jar in your classpath as well.

Hi Jeanne,
thanks for the reply.
Just one more question, if i am not wrong these ant-contrib "if" tasks(from sourceforge) are not among those that are getting deprecated right?

thanks

Kirrran,
Ant contrib is a third party library. So it definitely wouldn't be deprecated based on changes in Ant 1.7.

I haven't seen anything about Ant Contrib deprecations. The if task is a pretty common one, so I can't see them getting rid of it.

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
