ant pack200 OutOfMemory error

i use eclipse 3.3 ant build tool to build a very large java project
inside build.xml i use ant task pack200 to pack large number of jar files.

when i run this on windows it worked well.
when i run same project on my Linux os i get below ant build error.
can someone please help on this ?

The Java heap ran out of room. Do you run Ant within the same process as Eclipse or do you have it run in a separate process (with its own JVM)? If the former, increase the heap size for Eclipse. If the latter increase the heap size for Ant.
