Hello,
Merry X'mas. After having lots of problems with windows and constant breakdown of windows nt ,i would like to use linux as a networked solution. Also can I have a windows nt server and linux nodes coz the server has simply got too many important data cannot convert it to linix server right away.
where can I get a tutorial on linux networking and server management tutorial. also can nt and linux become a dual boot as win98 and linux.

Lots of tutorials/howtos at www.linuxdoc.org...Samba is a windows emulation tool for filesharing/logging in and etc that I think was one of your questions.

I have recently been bowled over by the power and simplicity of the e-smith Linux server from http://www.e-smith.com/ . It installs typically in less than half an hour, works seamlessly with Windows networks offering shared files, printing, email, web serving, ftp space etc. All with an easy web-based configuration!
If you are considering moving server space to Linux, I strongly consider finding an old box and putting the e-smith software on it. You'll be impressed ...
