do you have perl on your linux box? if you do, and it is in your path, just type 'perl ' followed by the name of the perl script (aka perl program) and perl should run it. Alternatively, make sure that the first line of the perl script reads:
(assuming that perl is in /usr/local/bin -- substitute the path that leads to perl on your linux box). HTH.
Do you like to run perl as a stand alone program? or as a CGI program? If you want to run as a stand alone, --above reply will just do fine. If you want run a CGI program, Keep your program in the cgi-bin dir of your apache location. and call it through your browser something like http://localhost/cgi-bin/test (where 'test' is your perl program's name ). It is also a good idea to run perl programs as an apache module for greater performance.For that you need to install perl-apache module. Prabu
