Southern Connecticut financial services company seeks Developer with hands-on experience designing and developing high-performance, Java-based web applications. Candidate must have:
�Core Java (5+ years experience): J2EE technologies (2-3 years) including JSP, Java Servlets, JDBC (esp. Oracle), EJB.
�XML technologies (2-3 years): XML, XML Schema, XLST, JAXP.
�Web Technologies: HTML, DHTM/StyleSheets and JavaScript (intensive)
�Database technologies: Oracle9i (PL/SQL).
�Operating Systems: proficient in development and deployment on both Unix, Linux, and Windows NT/XP platforms.
�Web application design (including Model/View/Controller)
�Object oriented design (including GoF Patterns).
�Sun Certified Java Programmer or Sun Certified Web Component Developer preferred.
�Strong communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills:
�2-3 years of financial experience (preferably Investment Banking).
�Experience building applications for IBM WebSphere
�Experience with Struts, POI, & JUnit open source libraries. ClearCase, IBM WSAD or JBuilder IDE, Dreamweaver / Fireworks, .NET/ASP and Oracle Workflow.
