I have just set up Linux on my computer. Does anyone know an anonymous ftp site where I can get the latest version of the jdk for Linux?
Thanks

Hi "M",
Welcome to JavaRanch!
We ain't got too many rules here at th' Ranch, but we do have our naming policy. Please head over to this page and change yours to use a full first name, pronto! Thanks, pardner.
Now, on to your question: Sun provides a perfectly lovely Linux JDK -- see the regular JDK download page.

depends on which jvm you want, there are several free version out there, blackdown, jcc? etc... i suggest you just use your browser to download from Sun, since that's the most commonly used ones. They have two packages on their site: one for rpm (use this if you are running redhat, mandrake) and bin (use this for other linux distros).

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
