I short while back I posted that I was wishing to learn to develop in a Unix environment. A lot of jobs require programming in a UNIX environment I was passed up the other day for a job because of my lack of experience in regards to UNIX. I was wondering if someone could suggest a good book to pick up. A book like a "Linux for java developers" type of book. Thank you for your time.

There really isn't a java linux book, try Running Linux by Walsh, that's a good book.

Why not!
Check Java Programming on Linux by Nathan Mayers, Wait Group Press.
Good for those who are new to Linux and somewhat familier with Java
