I need help with installing the j2ee on fedora core. I downloaded the correct binary, I think , from the sun website. I downloaded the file j2eesdk-1_4-dr-linux-eval
I executed, with root access, the command chmod +x j2eesdk-1_4-dr-linux-eval
Then I attempted the installation by executing ./j2eesdk-1_4-dr-linux-eval
Upon which I get the following error
error while loading shared libraries:libstdc++-libc6.2-2.s0.3:cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Somebody help me please.

Try searching for at You should find that that particular file is supplied by compat-libstdc++-7.3-2.96.118.i386.rpm - install it with whatever fancy tool fedora uses and then retry your j2ee install.
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
