tomcat startup script under redhat 9 !!

i have written a tomcat startup script that starts the tomcat server at linux startup..i placed this file in /etc/rc.d/init.d/... this is working file

i gave the same script to my friend and he did the same settings as i did...but the tomcat dosnt start at boot time...the system is unable to read this file from /etc/rc.d/init.d ....Y..???

anybody know this problem ??.

I am sure there is a way to do this manually, but can't you go to

Main Menu->System Settings->Servers Settings->Services and then check the tomcat option(if possible) and start/save the settings?

did your friend remember to:

(or whatever you named the script, in place of "tomcat". because, you did include the "#chkconfig:" line in your script so the SysVInit utilities can manage it, right...?
