The prices there are quoted as "USD X /per Socket /per year".

Can anyone explain to me what exactly this means ?

If I host an internet web server and app server on 1 machine running Solaris 10, how many "services" do I need to purchase? E.g. if I host�say�an online store on 1 Solaris server�how many �sockets� are there ?

Per socket refers to processors/CPU in the server. If you are running a dual processor server, the cost for the Premium service plan is $360 * 2 CPUs = $720 per year of support.
