hi friends

what does the mount command do?
does it copy or mirrors or loads the files to target.

what exactly mount does according to above ?

Mount makes the filesystem, contained on a block device, usually created
from a raw character device, available to the OS through the directory it
is "mounted" to per the mount command.

no u it is still not clear

since u used the "mounted" word in ur post to clarify

Mount makes the filesystem, contained on a block device, usually created
from a raw character device, available to the OS through the directory
named as the last argument in the mount command or referenced as the
first item on that line in the (v)fstab file.
