hai, i have developed simple webapplications in jsp and servlets. i have used windous xp as the operating system. i have putty exe in my pc. i have a user account of Redhat linux which i get after mentioning port number. while iam trying to connect , iam getting reply "connection timed out". what this means my account is deleted. how to develop servlets,jsp under linux.

Are you saying you're having problems logging in? It would probably be best to talk to whoever administers your systems there. "Connection timed out" means just that -- after waiting for a certain amount of time, the software couldn't connect to the server. This either means you're trying to connect incorrectly (you mention a "port", perhaps you're using the wrong connection parameters) or perhaps that there's a firewall issue (one of those brilliant "personal firewalls" for Windows that's silently dropping outgoing connections for you.) But no, this message doesn't mean your account is gone -- it hasn't even gotten to that point yet.
