how can i create war file in unix

Hello all
im working on unix env and i need to create war files for deployment to tomcat
in windows i used to make it with export -> to war file , but now in unix how can it be done ?

Meir,
A war file is just a jar file with a specific file structure and a different extension. Assuming you have the file structure set up, you can just use the jar command. Alternatively, you can use a build tool like Ant and call its war task.

compress (r) gzip � Compresses a file

uncompress (r) gunzip � uncompresses a file
