Stored Procedure

i have a stored procedure which does the updation of the record.

i have used Callable Statement to call the stored procedure, but when i call the executeupdate statement on the CallableStatement object it return 0 when the data is successfully executed.

Actually the return value must be 1 .
What might the problem. Can any one guide me .
