Problem installing Mail Server on Linux

I am having a problem running JAMES Mail Server on Linux, any time i want to run this it returns an error, Stating the an application is already using port 25, Please how can i stop and remove this application using port 25 I have tried netstat but i still can't figure the application

Which distribution and version of Linux are you using?

You most likely already have a mail server running on your computer (most likely sendmail), and you need to stop it, so that it doesn't keep port 25 opened.
