Is it possible to install Windows Vista and linux together in the system? This means dual operating system in the system.

Yes, it's possible. Just remember to install windows first, and then linux, to prevent bootloader issues. Here is a guide I found after a quick search on google - http://apcmag.com/how_to_dualboot_vista_with_linux_vista_installed_first.htm

Please suggest which linux version is better with Vista home premium version. And also from which vendor.

Sure, if you can define "better" in terms that work cross culturally, cross language, and for all user experience levels. There are many linux "distributions" or distros, because no one can agree on which distro is best. The best recommendation is to use the same distro that a buddy of yours uses, so you can get advice from him/her. And buy your buddy a beer or other drink as thanks.
