I am aware of basic commands of unix and some parts of shell scripting.
I came across some issues which can be solved by administration, which I not aware of. Kindly suggest me good books or sites from where I will get knowledge of administration.

You could try searching for "Unix system administration" and you'll find a lot of info:

Introduction to Basic Unix System Administration
Unix Guru Universe
etc.

"Unix administration" is a pretty broad topic. Since each Unix-based OS will have peculiarities, it would be a good idea to narrow your search to your particular variant.

If you like Ubuntu server, you can read this book.
http://www.amazon.com/Beginning-Ubuntu-Server-Administration-Professional/dp/1590599233

I'm currently reading it and I can say it's a pretty good book for a beginner like me This book is still meant for system admin and since you already know some basic Linux, you will be have no problem understanding it.

If you're looking for something in general, you can try this book.

Hope this helps.
