I have a PowerMac G4, running MacOS 10.3.5. I recently installed a new hard drive and I am in the tedious task of re-installing everything.
I need to install the JDBC driver for MS SQL Server. I did it once before, but for the life of me I cannot remember how to do it. I have downloaded from MS a tar file called mssqlserver.tar. But at this point I am stuck. It looks like there is an install Korn script to run, but I do not remember that at all from before. Does JDBC come with the standard Mac software? What else should I know?
JDBC is already a part of the JDK installed on your Mac. Unless Microsoft requires some non-standard weirdness (and who would be surprised), no installation should be necessary to use the JDBC driver. Just make sure that the jar file containing it in is in the application classpath.
