setting CLASSPATH on Mac OS

Would some Mac user please chime in on our FAQ on setting the CLASSPATH with whether the instructions provided for Linux also work with the Mac OS? If they don't, would you please provide the proper instructions?

Please comment on that page, not in this thread, which I'm closing.
