I copied my Internet Explorer (from WinXP) favorites folder and am wonder exactly where to place them on MacOSX, so I can use them in IE on Mac....

Also, if copy a folder from a memory stick and place it on OSX's desktop, how do you put it in folder under Terminal?

Many, many, thanks!

Question #1:
I do not know how you would import them. But do yourself a favor an forgoe IE on the Mac -- it's a horribly outdated browser that MS is no longer updating. Safari is a great browser, and Firefox works great on the Mac as well.

Question #2:
I do not understand. The entire folder structure on your hard drive is available from the command line like any other UNIX system. You don't need to move anything anywhere to make it available from the command line.

The path to your desktop would be ~/Desktop. (When you log in, you are at ~).

Hi,

You might want to google for answers or buy a good book on Mac OS X. THat's why I did when I was learning as I was the only one around using a Mac. Never found a basic Mac OS X problem I couldn't solve between books and google - but the again, I do have a lot of patience.
