Problems running on MacOS 10.2.8

I have a java program that runs fine on my WindowsXP machine with Sun JRE 1.4.2, but for some reason people are having trouble running the program with MacOS 10.2.8. The following error, I am told, is occurring:

The jar file "harmony.jar" couldn't be launched.

I don't know a thing about MacOS, but I would love to make sure that my program will work on it.
The program is available from here.

Runs on my 10.3.5 system. Does the program require Java 1.4?

Try java -jar harmony.jar from the command line and see what error message it says. If it says java:Command not found then the Java classpath has not been set.
