I tried to get the java compiler to compile my file like this:
tysen% javac MyApplication.java
but I got this error message
error: cannot read
I cannot figure out why the compiler cannot read my application. I wrote it and saved it in text only format. It's a standard simple application with one class and a main method. The class name and file name are the same (except that the class name doesn't have .java on it), and the lower and upper cases match too.
Do I have to provide information to the compiler to tell it where the file is? How do I do that? I have OS10.0.4. Is this a problem with OS10.0.4 which gets fixed in later editions of OS10?
