The rumors are true! According to Macworld, the new iPhone will indeed have a flush headphone jack! This means you can use any headphones without a goofy adaptor. Oh, yeah... It will also support 3G networking, have GPS, boast improved battery life, and be priced $200 cheaper than existing models. (The new iPhone will be $199 for the 8 GB version, which will come with a black back; or $299 for the 16 GB version, which will come with a black or white back.) Expected ship date is July 11.

I was so close to getting one before, but now there's no question. I know a lot of people think the white looks cheap, so I'm going to do my part to make sure there are enough black models left for other people.

The faster data speed is coming at an additional cost to consumers: Reportedly $10 per month more than AT&T's current plans. Also, according to CNN...
Apple shares fell 4% after the iPhone announcement, as some investors were left wanting more from the gadget maker. The stock had been up 55% in the past three months on heightened expectations for a radically improved iPhone...
What were they expecting? Aside from recording video, it looks like the plausible rumors were all realized.

Apple stock almost always falls post big announcements. Usually it's because the new product/update doesn't turn lead into gold.

Ah, yes... Treating shares of stock as lottery tickets.
