Apparently Apple's new MobileMe is built on top of this. Anybody done anything with it? It seems to me like a Rails clone with tight jQuery-ish Javascript integration built in. Am I right? Does the market need this?

Their demos performed terribly on my MacBook Pro, for what it's worth. I was not impressed.

Hmmm, never heard of it. I couldn't even get their website to finish loading. If this is indeed what Apple will be using, I'd suspect they'd be using more responsive servers.

I think they're getting Slashdotted right now.

Macrumors has a discussion, but it quickly devolved into Flash rules/sucks. No substance to be had there.

now that i've looked at it, i'm not impressed,
i was hoping for more,

the photo demo in FireFox2 has ghosting 200+ pixels away when you drag an image - not solid

The demos seemed to work fine with Safari 3. I'm interested to see what Apple did with this. Early July will tell when my .Mac account converts to MobileMe.
