Hi All,

I'm involved in a few java/j2ee development projects which typically use java/J2EE, Hibernate, Ant, JBoss, Weblogic JUnit, HtmlUnit, Axis and other open source technologies along with Oracle 10g database which are successfully run in my Windows laptop. I'm planning to buy a Macbook, but nore sure If I could continue working on my projects on Macbook. I mean, not sure if Macbook has a supportive hardware/software to run my projects which consists mostly open source frameworks.

can some one enlighten me on this?

Thanks & Regards, SK

Open Source and J2EE projects run fine on a Mac

There are many J2EE Application Servere you can use - I don't know what you are using today, but the most common can run on Mac (or at least on a virtual machine).

Oracle can be a problem to run native on a Mac (requires OS X Server), but you can run the database on a virtual machine - e.g. VMware Fusion, Parallels, etc.
