can we write a file using HTML tags which includes a .gif or .jpg image(associating this image with onClick event)and store this file as either .gif or.jpg?

You mean that you want to store the output version of your HTML page as a .GIF? I don't know of any way to do this using HTML or JavaScript. Maybe you could do it through a JApplet if you used a JEditorPane to display the contents of your HTML page? Then there is the easy way, you could always use a screen shot...

You can take a picture of the webpage with gimp or
paint shop pro..

paint shop pro:
menu-> capture-> setup-> window->hotkey-> include cursor->
and ok and capture!

As Bodie mentioned, the "print screen" key is very handy.
