Hi, When one instance of browser(in which an applet is running) is open, I don't want to allow user to open another instance of Browser. How I can do this with the use of Javascript? Thanks Angela
Angela You can't do that with JavaScript. That's about as close to taking over someones computer as you can get. I don't think users would appreciate it. You can play with the current window that the user has open to some degree, but you'll not be able to stop them from just going to start|programs|internet explorer. If your trying to prevent someone from running two instances of the applet then you'll need to do something server side. Capture their ip and allow only one connection at a time, or something similar. hope that helps a little
