I would like to know how to access a local hard disk using javascript???
I want to create a XML+XSL with Javascript embedded, and send this to the client side. The client should be able to enter the required data and save it locally to hard disk.
This has to be done using the embedded JavaScript, which will access the hard disk

There is no way to access to hard drive using Javascript.
But you could use cookies to save some data...

Well, there are ways to access the filesystem, it's just that those ways rely on certain undocument 'features' only found in certain versions of certain browsers. These 'features' are subject to disapear when made public for a while.

You can access the server's filesystem in ASP using the FileSystemObject object.
