Hi,
Is is possible to write to a layer (div) or any other element on the previous page, i.e get a hold on the previous document ?
If so - how ??

With this previous window, was it the parent of a pop-up window??
aka did you use a pop up to make the window??
if so then you can use, i think,
opener.document.layername.write("<p>blah</p>");
