This week's book giveaway is in the OCAJP 8 forum. We're giving away four copies of OCA Java SE 8 Programmer I Study Guide and have Edward Finegan & Robert Liguori on-line! See this thread for details.
My application needs to disable the auto complete functionality of the browser, i.e., even though the browser's auto complete functionality is on, the browser should not be able to remember the user name and password of my site. how do i accomplish the same using java script. i have set the autocomplete property of the form tag in html to "off" and the same works in IE, but it does not work in netscape. Any help is appreciated. Thanx & Regards Prashant
The "autocomplete" attribute to the form tag is not part of the HTML 4 or of the XHTML 1 standards. So it is possible that it is an IE-only extension, and as such would not work in any other browser. As to whether there is a corresponding Netscape-only extension, I do not know. hth, bear [ March 05, 2003: Message edited by: Bear Bibeault ]
